For commuters
You're not hailing a taxi. You're joining somebody's drive to work. A nurse, a teacher, a bank clerk making the same journey they make every weekday, and you pay a share of it.
Each line is a journey thousands of people already make twice a day. The pilot starts with the ones the most people have told us they travel, because that is the only order that works.
Illustrative — corridors,
not a live route map
Opening first
Opening by demand
Not on the map? That is exactly what the survey is for. A corridor opens when enough people who travel it have said so.
01 — The match
Their time, their detour, their free seats.
Say where you're going and when, once, scheduled, or every weekday, and see the Partners whose own route passes yours. What you're choosing between is time, reliability and the seat that fits your morning — not the car.

02 — The person
Name, rating, trips, vehicle, route.
A profile shows who they are, how many trips they've completed, what they drive, and roughly where their journey runs. Roughly is deliberate. Their home address is no more your business than yours is theirs.
They accept or decline your request. When they accept, you have a ride.

And someone you trust can watch the whole way.
A digital pass confirms you're the person who booked. The trip is live-tracked and shareable, messaging stays in the app, and emergency contacts are one tap away.

04 — Arriving
You tell UpRide the time you have to be at work, not the time you'd like to leave. Matching works backwards from that, so the corridor you're offered is one that gets you in before your shift starts.
Pickup is worked back from when you need to be at your desk, ward or classroom, not chosen first and hoped about.
A recurring plan holds its times across your week, so tomorrow morning looks like this one.
If a Partner can't run a morning, you hear about it in the app rather than at the junction.
What it costs
Your fare comes from how far you travel and the Commute plan you choose. Route if your week moves around, Pod if it doesn't. No surge, and never a premium for a nicer car.
Being straight with you
Supply is other people's routes to work. On a thin corridor, at an unusual hour, on a holiday, there may be no Partner going your way, because nobody is on standby.
That's the honest trade for a commute priced to do twice a day, five days a week. No amount of demand conjures up a Partner who isn't travelling.
It's also why the survey asks where you travel, and why Pod exists: a recurring Partner and a recurring group is how a corridor becomes something you can plan around. It improves the odds. It is not a guarantee.
